Synopsis of video:
Today is a special day to me. It my first Father’s Day, but most of all I get to honor my dad on this day as well. The word father means more to me, so I have broken down the word and come up with a word for each letter in father. Here is what I came up with:
Friend – My dad has been more then a father to me, he has been a best friend. I think it is really important for father’s to be friends to there children. He is one person I can call and always get great advice.
Always There – My dad has always been there for me. This may seem like the same thing as friend, but this means more to me. When my mom passed away my dad was always there for me and helped me get through it. I don’t know how I would have gotten through it with out him.
Time Spent – My dad sacrificed so much of his time to coach my baseball games, attend my golf tournaments and teach me the game of golf. I know it wasn’t always easy. I really appreciate the time he gave so unselfishly.
Hard Work – My dad taught me what it means to work hard and provide for a family. He always put his family first to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you dad.
Encouraging – My dad is always encouraging me to be my best. If I failed he never let me know that I failed he just encouraged me to keep trying my best. He understands that you will not always be your best. Make sure to always encourage your kids.
Role Model – My dad was such a great role model to me. I hope that I can be as good of a role model to my children.
I really appreciated everything my dad has done for me. Make sure you take time to thank your dad, it will really mean a lot to him. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. I hope you have a great day.
